Volunteer lawyers and paralegals along with law students and paralegal students will meet with Omaha area residents to answer basic legal questions, provide legal resources, and general legal information. New to practice? Little/no experience in an area of law being focused on at this Lawyers in the City event? No problem! You can be matched with an experienced attorney for mentoring.
Attorneys who want to Volunteer
Select the time(s) you want to volunteer. You can sign up for one-hour time slots in the morning or afternoon, or join us all day! Please feel free to share this pro bono opportunity with your friends, family, and colleagues.

Members of the Public
If you do not have the financial means to hire a lawyer, volunteers will meet with you to provide basic legal information on:
- uncontested divorce
- child custody and support
- name changes
- protection orders
- filing a small claim
- tenant rights
- bankruptcy and debts
- immigration (9 - 12 only)
Community members will be seen on a first-come first-serve basis. Spanish-speaking volunteers will be onsite.
