Casemaker is an online legal research database free for your use through your bar association membership. Take a few moments of your time to get to know and take advantage of this research tool to benefit your practice. This webinar session will be covering the basics - getting to know the system, what it has to offer you, and how to conduct basic searches – and will give you some great tips and teach advanced searching techniques to further benefit your hard work.

At the conclusion of this program, attorneys will be able to independently navigate Casemaker’s browsing section, conduct keyword searches, pull up documents using citations, and check case law for subsequent negative treatment. Attorneys will also become familiar using their personal tools and custom settings within Casemaker.

Samantha Peacoe is the training coordinator and assistant manager of Casemaker’s customer support team out of the Charlottesville, Virginia office. She has been conducting Casemaker training sessions regularly for over eight years. Samantha has extensive experience in working with customers and helping them find answers to their questions and problems in a quick and efficient manner. Samantha understands the daily challenges an attorney faces of time and resources and she takes pride in providing the members the most viable solutions.
