Information : Sections : Women and the Law Section
This section
is comprised of lawyers who promote study of the legal system and
its existing and contemplated effect on women in the fields of family
law, estate planning, welfare law, creditor-debtor law, employment
law and criminal and corrections law. The section provides a common
forum for exchanging ideas. It promotes and provides continuing
education to enhance professional skills and confidence and increase
general awareness and understanding in substantive areas as they
affect women. The section promotes consistency and fairness in the
judicial forum and legislative arena with regard to substantive
areas as they affect women and encourages integration and active
participation of women in the Nebraska system of justice as lawyers,
judges and scholars.
