What is Casemaker?
The Casemaker Web Library is an online legal research library designed by the Ohio State Bar Association and Lawriter Corporation, a Cincinnati-based electronic legal-research publisher. Launched in 1998, the service has grown from an Ohio-based library to include other state bar associations that formed the Casemaker Consortium. These partner states now include Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Washington. Members of these bars have access to all Casemaker states’ libraries, and as the Consortium grows, so does the available library.
