You’ve read the headlines. With each critical cyber event, organizations are held responsible for unsound information security practices resulting in both the actual loss of data and a loss of public confidence. The judicial and legal community is not immune to these widespread attacks and the need for an ever-evolving security strategy that protects their data and their reputations.
Kyle Loven will discuss the ethics and compliance considerations of information security protocols, illustrating with corporate responses to critical cyber events. Kyle will also provide the audience with steps to mitigate the most common security threats and bolster both reactive and proactive protocols.

Kyle Loven, JD, CCEP, National Director, Computer Forensic Services (CFS) Kyle Loven joined CFS in 2017 as its National Director. Kyle is a 22.5-year veteran of the FBI and served as the Chief Division Counsel for the Minneapolis Division. In this role, Kyle addressed all legal matters affecting the Minneapolis Division and was responsible for ensuring that all FBI operation were compliant with internal policies, the AG Guidelines, and the U.S. Constitution. He also served as the Ethics, Privacy, and Compliance Officer for the Division and handled all media inquiries.
Kyle served as a Special Agent in both the San Diego and Minneapolis Field Divisions, including having served as the Acting Legal Attache to Singapore in 2009. Kyle was designated as an Adjunct Instructor by the FBI, instructing internally on behalf of the organization in Hungary, El Salvador, and Kazakhstan. Kyle conducted numerous presentations on behalf of the FBI domestically, and currently serves as a Minnesota CLE instructor at various Minnesota State Bar events. Kyle received his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul. He is also a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional.
