In 2015, the Nebraska Legislature joined other states in passing legislation to increase protections for pregnant employees. The new law requires accommodations for pregnant individuals and prohibits discrimination on the basis of pregnancy. This one-hour webinar will focus on the history behind this law and similar laws and provide a practical explanation as to how these laws play out in practice.

As a skilled Nebraska workplace law, discrimination, employer harassment & retaliation, and personal injury attorney, Kathleen serves her clients & the community with passion and poise. Kathleen is a past president of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys.

Scout Richters: Scout has served as Legal & Policy Counsel at the ACLU of Nebraska since 2017. Scout’s areas of focus include women’s rights, reproductive justice, and juvenile justice. Scout attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Brooklyn Law School. She interned with ACLU National Women’s Rights Project during law school.
