Seeking nominees for a vacancy on the Nebraska Lawyers Trust Account Foundation from Greater Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Bar Association is soliciting nominations to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Nebraska Lawyers Trust Account Foundation. The Nebraska Lawyers Trust Account Foundation (NLTAF) administers the Interest on Lawyers Trust Account (IOLTA) Program per Nebraska Supreme Court Rules. Per that organization’s bylaws, the NSBA’s appointee must be employed by a financial institution participating in the IOLTA Program with IOLTA accounts remitting funds to NTAF. If you reside in greater Nebraska (outside of the Omaha and Lincoln metro area)  and are employed by a financial institution participating in the IOLTA Program with IOLTA accounts remitting funds to NTAF and would like to be considered for this appointment, please contact Liz Neeley by August 27, 2025 at Lneeley@nebar.com.

Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Annual Legislative Meeting - Thursday, August 21, 2025
The Real Estate, Probate, and Trust section's annual legislation discussion will be Thursday, August 21 beginning at 1:00 pm at the Mahoney State Park Lodge (Nebraska Room). The focus tends to be on state-level legislation, but issues may be raised regarding state regulations or federal statutes or regulations. Attendees will discuss ideas and decide what to try to address in the 2026 legislative session. The ideas may be discussed further at the section's annual meeting in October and will be forwarded to the NSBA Legislation Committee for consideration this fall. Please join if you are able and interested in discussing legislative issues in this practice area.
