NSBA Health Insurance Consortium Lunch and Learns on March 8th and March 20th (FREE)

The Consortium consists of multiple employers, with NSBA membership, pooling together to obtain affordable health insurance coverage on terms similar to those currently available only to large employers. NLAP offers Stress Management Boot Camp for Lawyers
NLAP has partnered with TJ Gorman of The Coeur Group to offer a unique 8-week stress management program beginning March 15th. This is an excellent opportunity for lawyers to build stress management and resiliency skills in a small group setting tailored to lawyers. The participants will meet from 12-1 pm each Friday at the Coeur Group offices, centrally located in Omaha. This program is limited to the first 10 lawyers who register, so don’t wait to sign up. Seeking Nominees for the 2019 Public Service Awards
The Nominating Committee of the House of Delegates of the Nebraska State Bar Association is seeking nominees for the Public Service Awards to be presented at the 2019 Annual Meeting in October. Nominations should be made on the nomination form and returned to the committee on or before May 24, 2019.
The Nebraska 2019 Cover Art Competition
Calling all attorney-artists! Would you like to see your art on the cover of The Nebraska Lawyer? The NSBA is now accepting submissions for its Nebraska Lawyer Cover Art Competition! Please find the rules and guidelines regarding all submissions here.
The competition is comprised of the following categories: photography, painting/drawing, and sculpture. Submissions will be accepted through March 29, and the winning entry will be published on the cover of the May/June 2019 issue of The Nebraska Lawyer. Jennifer A. Huxoll, Palmyra; S. Colin Palm, Plattsmouth; and David J. Partsch, Nebraska City, have submitted applications for appointment as County Judge in the 2nd Judicial District consisting of Cass, Sarpy, and Otoe counties. The primary place of office for the judicial vacancy should be alternatively in either Plattsmouth, Cass County, Nebraska, or Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska. Stacie A. Goding, Mitchell C. Stehlik, both of Grand Island; D. Brandon Brinegar, Kearney; and Andrew C. Butler, Hastings, have submitted applications for appointment as District Judge in the 9th Judicial District consisting of Buffalo and Hall counties. The primary place of office for the judicial vacancy is Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge Teresa K. Luther, effective December 31, 2018.
