Paralegal Job Opportunity with the Nebraska State Bar Association: Volunteer Lawyers Project Paralegal, EVOLVES Program
Established in 1982, the Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) is the oldest and largest volunteer legal services organization in Nebraska. The mission of VLP is to provide quality pro bono legal services to eligible low-income Nebraskans. VLP achieves this goal through its core case placement program and other targeted pro bono programs that serve specialized legal needs. Working under the general direction of the VLP Director, the Paralegal performs a broad range of administrative duties in support of the VLP program providing legal services to victims of crime.
This position requires significant interaction with lawyers, nonlawyers, applicants for services, and members of the general public. The Paralegal plays an integral role in the administration and continued development of pro bono and reduced-fee case placement and pro bono outreach activities. FTC Hearing #14: Roundtable with State Attorneys General
The Federal Trade Commission announced the agenda for the 14th session of its Hearings Initiative. This session, at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska on June 12, 2019, will conclude the FTC’s Hearings on Competition and Consumer Protection in the 21st Century. Full Press Release

Client Tracking in Casemaker
Need to keep track of time spent doing online research for a client? Utilizing the Client and Session Summary features of Casemaker can help. Simply create a Client and select the client each time you begin to conduct research for that client. Once you have finished, click the Sign Out link to sign out of Casemaker and view the Session Summary. The Session Summary contains the date, time and client for each search, which can be used to keep track of billable hours for the client. Please remember to print this information as it cannot be retrieved after closing the Session Summary.
