The Intellectual Property Section is dedicated studying and making recommendations in the area of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Nebraska continues to experience an increase in the number of technology-based businesses that have established, enhanced, or maintained a presence in the state. For these businesses, intellectual property (IP) rights (e.g., patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets) typically constitute a major competitive asset. Meeting the needs of these entities, as well as others who use, protect, and create IP rights has become an ever-increasing need for members of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
