Q: When are dues supposed to be paid?
A: On or before January 1 for the year of membership.
Q. Can I set up auto-renewal?
A. If you select auto-renewal, your sustaining dues (including the sections and charitable contributions you select here) will automatically renew annually and be charged to the credit card you provide when submitting your sustaining dues. You will receive a receipt each year instead of a dues statement.
Q. What if the credit card on file is no longer valid?
If we are unable to process payment, lawyers will be notified by email and asked to update their credit card information. If they do not login and update their information, the NBSA will call and confirm and ask them for updated credit card information. If we are still unable to process the credit card, an invoice for the remaining balance will be sent. When payment is not made within 30 days of notice, lawyers will be dropped from the roll of sustaining members for nonpayment of dues, and all rights in respect thereto shall cease.
Members can cancel at any time by contacting the NSBA at (402) 475-7091. Upon cancellation, the remaining balance for the year will be due. When payment is made, members will continue to have access to NSBA benefits through the end of the current membership year for which they have paid. When payment is not made within 30 days of notice, they will be dropped from the roll of sustaining members for nonpayment of dues, and all rights in respect thereto shall cease.
Q: Where should I send my dues payments?
A: We prefer that you pay your dues online. However, your dues payments can be sent in the return envelope provided with each dues statement or mailed to PO Box 6309, Lincoln, NE 68506-6309 in care of the NSBA. Payment can also be brought to the NSBA offices at 635 S 14th St, #200 Lincoln NE.
