The 2025 City Attorneys Seminar is designed to provide insights and updates on topics directly impacting city attorneys. This program was designed with input from city attorneys around the state and will review such topics as Tax Increment Financing, land use issues, de-escalation tools, enforcement of city codes, and the legal aspects of bond issues.

Tax Increment Financing (TIF) is a public funding mechanism in Nebraska, authorized by the Nebraska Constitution and statutes allowing municipalities to help pay for public improvements and enhancements associated with redevelopment projects in blighted and substandard areas. Join us to find out what city attorneys should know about TIF in this session.

From state law authority to Federal securities and tax law, this session will cover basic legal issues encountered by bond counsel that may be useful to city attorneys in advising city council.
