The general purpose of the Section shall be the promotion of the objects of the Nebraska State Bar Association (herein "the Association") by improving the professional knowledge and skill of the members of the Association. To that end, the Section shall:  (a) promote and maintain high standards of conduct, integrity and skill for persons engaged in the delivery of legal services; (b) monitor, evaluate and communicate to lawyers and the bar association itself: the changing environment in which their services will be rendered; how those services can be marketed; the usage of social media; the future role of lawyers; and the methods by which lawyers may deal with such environment and role; (c) develop and disseminate information concerning opening and operating a law office for solo practitioners and small firms, efficient delivery of legal services, the efficient operation of the business of a law practice, law practice management and evaluation of the practice of law; (d) develop and disseminate information concerning: marketing of legal services, including, but not limited to: online marketing; directories; websites; and social media; (e) develop and disseminate information regarding technology including, but not limited to: automation of the law office; cloud computing; policies and best practices for offices and technology; communications with client, other lawyers and the court system; encryption; and (f) encourage law schools and faculties in Nebraska to develop and offer courses as a regular part of the law school curriculum dealing with the aforementioned purposes of this Section.
